For more than 4 decades, Heckler & Koch (H&K) has been a leading manufacturer
of police and military weapons. One of the most well known examples is the
SOCOM pistol, which was developed according to the strict guidelines of the US
Navy's SEALs and Army Special Forces. Boker and Heckler & Koch teamed up to to
create a knife featuring the same design elements of the SOCOM and its
successor, the USP. The handles in the Boker HK knife are made of the
exact same textured fiberglass-reinforced Delrin used in the HK pistol grips.
As for the blade material, Boker uses the super
steel, X-15 T.N., the most corrosion resistant stainless steel available, which
also boasts the same cutting power of high-grade stainless steels like 440-C and
ATS-34 with its Rockwell hardness of 58.
